EMIRATES INCREASES CAPACITY TO MEET DEMAND
In preparation to meet the demand for travel, Emirates are increasing frequency on flights to Dubai from Sydney and Melbourne. Another positive sign that recovery is underway following Australia’s decision to ease our ‘do not travel’ warnings.
Increased Capacity
From 2 November 2021, Emirates is stepping up the frequency on flights between Dubai and Sydney to be a daily operated service. Flights to Melbourne will operate at four times a week initially, with the potential to increase in line with the demand for travel by Australians. The flights (from both Sydney and Melbourne) will also return to 100% capacity across all cabins.
Important Information for international travellers
Travelers rejoice! Australian citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family members will be able to enjoy unrestricted travel once again to Dubai, for the first time since the pandemic began.
All Emirates passengers travelling to Sydney and Melbourne from 1 November must follow the below:
- All passengers must be double vaccinated with a TGA approved vaccine (for travellers aged 12 years and above), with at least 14 days since they received their final dose.
- In line with Commonwealth government protocols, children under 12 arriving with fully vaccinated parents and people with a valid medical exemption will be considered fully vaccinated.
